ArtSpace鈥檚 City-Wide Open Studios Brings Students, New Haven Art Community Together

A month-long event that draws thousands of visitors and more than 400 artists to the Greater New Haven area each year, ArtSpace鈥檚 City-Wide Open Studios enables artists to share their work with the community. For the second year, the University of New Haven鈥檚 Department of Communication, Film, and Media Studies, under the guidance of adjunct faculty Nicki Chavoya, has partnered with the event to interview participating artists, explore the New Haven art scene, and exhibit students鈥 works.

Professor Reflects on Fighting Antisemitism and Fostering the Soul of Academia

In response to the growing number of incidents of antisemitism across the country, a sub-committee of the University of New Haven鈥檚 Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access (IDEA) Council created the Human Rights Law and Policy Speaker Series. Martin A. Goldberg, J.D., LL.M., a business and tax law professor who spearheaded the creation of the series, discusses the importance of exploring new approaches to combatting antisemitism on college campuses, across the country, and around the world.

Not Your Average Summer: High School Students Get Inside Look into Field of Cybersecurity

Forty students from around the region spent a week tracking down cyber criminals, decrypting codes, cracking passwords, and learning how to hack into major websites 鈥 to ultimately understand how to protect them 鈥 as part of the University of New Haven鈥檚 GenCyber Agent Academy, an innovative program supported by the National Science Foundation and the National Security Agency.

Survey Finds that University of New Haven鈥檚 Career Outcomes Rate Exceeds National Average

The University of New Haven鈥檚 latest Employment Outcomes Survey, which provides data on the post-graduation achievements of alumni from the Class of 2017, finds that more than 94 percent of undergraduates are employed full or part time in a position related to their major, continuing their education, in active military service, or engaged in a post-graduate volunteer opportunity.
