About Eric
Eric Henry is an Exercise Science graduate and former football athlete from Central Connecticut State University. His professional path began through internships in cardiac rehabilitation with Professor Smallidge and in physical therapy. Those experiences helped him better understand the field, clarify the populations he wanted to serve, and ultimately led him toward personal training.
Eric spent five years as a personal trainer at Big Sky, where he gained valuable hands-on experience working with clients of different ages, goals, and fitness levels. Over time, his passion for coaching continued to grow, along with his belief that fitness should improve a person's real life, not just their performance in the gym.
During COVID, Eric adapted to the changing fitness landscape and founded LFT (Limiting Factor Training), a virtual personal training company focused on improving quality of life through movement, nourishment, and positive social interaction. LFT's core philosophy is simple: work on the weakest link to build the strongest version of the person. His coaching approach emphasizes practical strength training, functional movement, consistency, and helping individuals apply fitness in ways that transfer to real life.
Eric is excited to serve as an adjunct instructor for EXER 2270: Functional Training and Physical Readiness, where he will focus on giving students practical tools they can apply with real populations.
